We're leaving Pretoria today and heading back to Sandton. It's been a wonderful time and last night we were treated to a massive thunderstorm and a gecko in the bedroom (which I'll admit I found pretty exciting).
The kids had a fantastic time at auntie Gemma's school play yesterday which was some kind of time machine story with lots of dancing. Gemma was in charge of the lights and a smoke machine. Elisha got very excited everytime there was a bit of smoke because "that's Gemma's smoke!"
They've also had a lot of fun jazzing Bo up and now the poor puppy is flopped on my feet completely exhausted.
The kids also wrote/drew diaries which are really good.
I bought some papay yesterday and Mark said they love them but they are quite expensive. A little bit of a Google (search: papaya permaculture) told me that the grow like weeds and fruit all year round, so I'm saving some seeds to plant her for a surprise. She already has pomegranate and guava growing in her yard and she plans to start a vegetable patch, so with a bit of papaya growing too she could be well on her way to getting her food forest.
