I started my day by having a lie in... wow I didnt realise how much I needed it. After having a shower and sorting out a few bits I headed out to do the walking tour around Christchurch. It was a really nice walk and I got some lovely photos of the river and the botanical gardens. I then headed down to the multiplex and went to see Avatar, finally, at the cinema. Now I know what everyone has been talking about.. what a film! Probably one of the best films I have ever seen and the special affects were outstanding. After the film I headed back to the hostel, stopping at a thai restaurant for some take away noodles, yum yum!

Now I am back at the hostel just updating what I can before I start my tour in the morning. I have to be in town for a 7.30am pick up.. ouch! I am really looking forward to getting on the road but I am also pretty nervous. I havn't been on my own for about 4 months now so it feels a little strange. Steph has met some really great people on her tour and she is convinced I will too... fingers crossed. I am hoping to catch up with her in Nelson on Saturday which would be awesome. I'll be meeting up with Mel again in 3 weeks time and then its Fiji time. Time is really flying by. Talking of flying, in two weeks I will be throwing myself out of a plane at 15,000 ft ahhhh. Im terrified but everyone says its awesome so I am kind of excited hehe.

Right I guess I better go and sort out my bag and think about getting an early night.
