Well I made my flight from Melbourne to Sydney and I have to say I was sad to say goodbye. Really didn't like being back in Sydney and I couldn't believe that Fiona and Mel were still there and still in the same room. Mel doesn't know what she is doing but doesn't want to go home any time soon and Fiona has found herself a job which is good. We all went out for a cocktail last night as a goodbye send off for Katie and I (she is going to work on a pony farm in Tazmania for 3 months). I went back to the hostel about 9pm and ended up watching Double Jeopardy on the tele so didnt get to bed until 11pm.. wooops! Then the girls came in about 4 times, once to get ready to go out, once to get some more money, once to wake me up to say goodbye, again (god they were drunk) and finally to go to bed. So all in all I reckon I got about 3 hours sleep. Woke up late but I made it to the airport with plenty of time and slept the whole flight (apart from when it was time to be fed hehe).

I got the bus from the airport to the city and headed to my hostel. Wow it is cold here. 28 degrees in Sydney yesterday and 14 degrees in Christchurch today. My hostel seems really nice and it is only me and one other girl in my room and weve got an en-suite wahoo, feels like home hehe. She is called Ieka and she is from Germany, she is really nice and we are going to go and do the walking tour around the city together tomorrow. She is leaving on Thursday morning too and heading to Kaikoura, which is about 3 hours North of Christchurch, and then she flys home next week. I went for a walk around the city this afternoon and bought another pair of jeans. If this weather is any indication of what it is going to be like here, one pair of jeans is not going to be enough so I though I better grab another hehe. Christchurch reminds me so much of Cambridge, people even punt down the river. It is lovely here but much smaller than I thought and very quiet compared to Australia. I am so excited about the World Cup though, wish I could be here for that, it would be amazing I'm sure.

It is 8.15pm here but I am so tired from the lack of sleep that I am off to bed. I will try and update my blog again before I start my tour on Thursday.
