Today we woke up excited as it was the day of our Mahout elephant experience. We ran out for breakfast next door to our guesthouse so that we could see if our pickup arrived. Just as we'd ordered a van pulled up. We watched for a while and then it drove round the corner…we thought we were going to miss our tour. I went running round and it was our guide, he was early. He said he'd come back for us. We finished our breakfast quickly and then found the van again ...

This morning we woke and went to a nice little café outside our resort for some breakfast. We then headed back to get on a tuk tuk to the bus station on our luxury Mini bus that we'd booked to take us to Luang Prebang. We shared the tuk tuk with 2 others, thinking we we're going to have a whole mini bus between 4 of us. It turned out more people were at the station and it was completely full, and no aircon - hardly luxury we paid an extra 10,000 for this. Oh wel...
