So far I've been putting the "Blog Entry Date" as the date that I actually write the entry. I'm starting to think maybe I should put it as the date the entry talks about. I've got 2 weeks to write about right now and I'm thinking of splitting it into 4 or 5 entries. Should they all have today's date? Hmmm.

Anyway, the date of the first day of this entry is Thursday the 12th of September. I came back to Bratislava to meet up with Nikki who I had contacted through Couch Surfing to hitch-hike around Slovakia. I stayed at a different hostel this time; the Hostel Blues. This was a cool hostel with a good common area and notices about things that were going on in the town on a given day, which included a bit of live music. So this night I went to a little cafe with a couple of guys and listened to a band play some old blues music, was pretty chill.

On Friday I really didn't do much. Just chilled. But that night I went to a little bar which featured live music. An acoustic duo called She & Me were playing. They were pretty damn awesome, playing a lot of rock classics and such. The most interesting part of the night though was when the guy I was with asked the lead singer if he could get up and play some stuff. He was totally awesome and the the crowd got really into it. Throughout the night he ended up sharing the gig with the band, getting up and playing when they took breaks.

On Saturday I met with Nikki for the first time and we started planning our hitchhiking trip around Slovakia and getting in contact with some couch surfing hosts. Saturday night was complete recovery; we had an early start on Sunday.
