Just got back from our trip down south and couldnt wait to tell you all about it. Started by hiring a dodgy car from a dodgy geezer with a dodgy mullet! (alarm bells really should have started ringing when we first caught sight of him). First stop was Albany after a five hour car journey, getting lost and ending up in Boddington which was hicksville city, had fish and chips from the lo cal cafe/chip shop/ video shop/ newsagents. The "cook" got very flustered at the thought o f five customers all at once and therefore her friendlier side did not come out.
Albany was lovely as you will see from the photos although it was cold. There was lots of natural beauty, pretty rocks and stuff!
Our next stop was Denmark where we did the tree top walk. It was 40 metres off the ground and believe us it was high. Although it was made of metal you could see through the bottom and the whole thing blew in the wind, having breakfast beforehand was not a good idea. We then drove to a cute caravan site and stayed in a cabin for the night, lots of beer and BBQ food.
Yet again another tree to see on day 3. Nothing interesting to report there. After that we went to Margaret River which proved to be a lot more entertaining with lots of free wine at the vine yards. Yummy!!!!!!!!!!!!! We also found the fudge factory and again went in for the free samples. Yummy again!!!!!
Bunbury was our final stop before heading back to Perth, it was wicked, we went to a wildlife park and actually fed baby kangaroos, they ate straight off our hands and also shook our hands. They were so cute unlike the emus who quite frankly were the most evil looking creatures we have ever seen. Saw some lovely beaches on our drive back. Unfortunately we have to work all weekend, the only bonus is that the sailors are back in town so hopefully its tips tips tips. We are off up north on Monday though so watch this space for tales of our adventures.
