We said goodbye to Worcester and hopped on a train to London this morning.
Two and a half hours later we arrived at Paddington Station London. It is a bank holiday in the UK and there are people everywhere.
We join a short queue for a taxi to take us to our hotel and home for the next three nights.
It is pouring down and I mean pouring with no end in sight.
We check in to our room which is small but comfortable recently renovated everything new.
We get out some maps including the tube and plan our afternoon. We can't stay in our room until tomorrow!! So we borrow an umbrella from reception send tackle the streets. We are right near Kings Cross station a couple of minutes. We decide to take the tube and make our way to Buckingham Palace.
We find our way there take the photos and head back towards home again stopping for a coffee back at Kings Cross and watching the crowds come and go, could sit here for hours just watching people.
There are umbrellas everywhere people worst off then us as they are walking the streets with suitcases, prams and children in tow.
We see lots of weird dressed people and are told the Notting Hill festival was on today hence the dress wear and that a million people have come into town for the festival - no wonder it is busy!!
By the time we get back we are wet the rain hasn't let up. We relax for a couple of hours before we head out for some dinner.
Let's hope tomorrow the weather is better we are booked on the hop on hop off bus for the next two days so we can see all the sights of London.
