Hola from Santiago! The capital of Chile. This wasnt part of the plan, but I just had to come over here and visit my good friend Tomas!I got a very warm welcome - Chilean hospitality! Santiago is a big city with beautiful areas next to regular tall buildings... We had a great weather and enjoyed playing Truco, swimming in Tomas' swimming pool, walking around the city, going out to a bar and a club and fooling around with Otto - Tomas' dog. I found my number 1 city! It's Pucon!Definately the most fun in one city so far!One side of the city is the beach, the other side is a snowy volcano. Its incredible! We started our adventures here by going to a body rafting adventure. It's like rafting but with a small foam you hold in your hands. You basically raft the river (rapid 3) with your body instead of a kayak... Dangerous? yes. fun? YES! Following this crazy fun we had to crank it up a notch and...

I guess you can´t have all the happiness without something sad... So we went to see Chaiten. The city that was destroyed 3 years ago by a volcanic eruption.The city is almost uncovered now, but they left a street covered as a memory of the disaster. There are some people living there, but it´s much smaller than it used to be. As you can see in the photos - entire houses are covered by volcanic ashes.
