We awake to another wet and windy morning in Santander - do the usual thing, shower, get our stuff together and head off to the Station. It's a breakfast of local scran and a coffee. We then head through security to the train station - yes you now have to get your bags x-rayed and all that stuff - this is due to the train bombings in 2004. We then waited for the train as the hall filled up - I noticed a few Mainland Chinese had showed up, these are the nouveaux ...

We awoke once more to a listing ship - As mentioned by Lord Gibbs of the Foreign Office, we have been trained well and a crazy sea doesnt bother us too much. We had breakfast and mooched around the ship - again we werent allowed to go astern and the French Crew had now sealed off the entrances properly after the Army lads stunts & removing their temporary signs. It was fun to watch the swells and yes they were very big, the ship would sometimes hit a big one ...

At last, we're leaving Blighty. The weather doesnt disappoint, we stay on deck for an hour and the French crew tell us we cant stay out here as it's going to get rough. We've lobbed the bags in and so now have a wander around the ship. It's smaller that the ferries to Holland but it's okay to while a couple of hours away. We then decide to stay in the main bar/entertainment area, which looks like something from Star Trek....it's good fun, they have some guitarist...

After the fun of last night, we're up pretty early and head out around 9.00 am to watch Seville wake up, the streets have been cleaned overnight and it's quite fresh out there. We walk toward the Cathedral and actually go inside to watch the service, there are quite a lot of folks in the congregation there already. Considering though, that the Spanish Inquisition orginated here, if I was a local I'd still be hedging my bets as well. There's been plenty of skulldu...

It's a chilly windy day in Sunny Wales and we're heading to Bristol airport to fly to Seville in Spain. It's our 25th Wedding Anniversary in a couple of days....all them years ago it was...... and what better way to celeberate than to head for some pucka Spanish Culture.
