Today off exploring the Flinders Ranges by car. Amazing scenery, unbelievably large river gums, great rock formations and pine trees! We did our first creek crossing, small but fun. We have arrived in Silverton which is 22kms outside Broken Hill. Set up camp at an old picnicking area for the Broken Hill locals in the 50's and 60's called Penrose Park. Awoken early by some unhappy crows but it was still too cold to get out of bed. All of us had a welcome sleep in as we're here for 3 nights so no need to rush. Bacon Spam and scrambled eggs for breakfast ... no more real bacon on camping trips for us, this stuff is fantastic!
