yey!! we made it to the north island! arrived here on thursday and have definately had a ball hitting the shops! have bought a few nice tops and stuff...as you do...also splashed out and bought a flight to fiji! woohoo! cant wait...we need a summer holiday so figured we should take one as we are so close! cheeky eh! will make i send postcards and will be thinking of sunny bognor while on a beach not far from there...!!! ; ) i hope all is fab there and autumn is well under way...still all is great here...as you can probably tell! love wellington. good to see a city again and see a complete change to the stunning scenery of the south island. we leave here on monday to travel to taupo, rotarua and auckland. in the final 2 weeks of nz now...cant believe we are at this point already but looking back on the last 3 weeks is crazy!! seems so much longer for all the things weve been up to...going to the cinema tonight - its the largest one inthe southern hemisphere! crazy! we even got the chance to try it out earlier and sit in the seat orlando bloom sat in at the LOTR premiere! crazy or what! (sorry em - that one might make you a tad jealous eh! ; ) ) well im off to try my new tops on and get ready...weve upgraded in this hostel to the 'sanctuary'floor - a girls only floor with fluffy pillows, towels, hair kits, free wine and cd players and everything! got a great view of the sea from the pink chillout room and makes a nice change from the dorm with smelly boys! ; ) will save that for the next hostel but in the meantime we are making the most of the luxury! ; ) thats all for now...will update soon...georgie x x x
