o my word!!! landed in the land down under yesterday and done so much already! crazy whirl wind again so far but gotta make the most of this place before its time to leave...said all the sad goodbyes to our friends in NZ and tried to get used to them not being around - if you are reading this, love and miss you stacks already!!! counting down til see you again and dont forget to keep it real for team extreme!!! thinking of you and looking forward to hearing the new stories soon! ; ) so we landed yesterday afternoon and got to city central yha - dumped our bags and headed straight out...walked and walked and walked and eventually stumbled across one of the most iconic buildings in the world...sydney opera house!!! amazing sight to see and totally stunning! the first view os sydney was different to what i expected...the maijn strip of shope and building is stunning but the many side streets and walkways are a world away from the tv screen pictures...definately an interesting contrast. so to come face to face with the opera house was pretty special! you can help but take picture after picture purely because it is so photgraphed around the world and such an image of australia!!! we were planning on booking to watch an operatic show there but we found ourselves booking tickets to watch the Foo Fighters!!!! crazy or what! with less than an hour we rushed to get food on the side of the harbour and headed back for the most amazing acoustic concert ive ever seen! awesome!!! ; ) walking back to the hostel was like a trance (knackered mostly from our last fewparty nights in nz!!) woke up this morning to a call from a friend who lives out here now...havent seen or spoken over a phone in 2 years so was the most amazing thing to speak this morning!!! (james smith to any tesco crew reading this!) ; ) planning on seeing him at the other end of this oz trip and i cant wait ; ) we booked oursleves onto a city sight seeing tour and hopped on and off the bus all day - darling harbour and the sydney aquarium - I FOUND NEMO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and his dad and bruce and of course, dori!!!!!! saw crocs, penguins, rays, selas and loads more - fab! went up the sky tower and saw the most amazing views from the skies - wasnt allowed to jump off this one though...bummer! sorry team extreme but they woudlnt let me! ; ( grabbed a bit of shopping tonight (its not all glam this travelling lark eh?!) also saw the london area of sydney - hyde park and lots of other street names that i fail to remember! ; ) came back and chilled out for most of tonight...though i would update this and make the most of being in a new country by changing my little map cursor!!! hoping to take a boat out tomorrow into the harbour and see sydney from a new perspective...should be a beautiful day...hot and sunny! lush! (yep, im still totally white at th moment! rubbish!) hoping to catch up with vik from home sometime soon and also gotta visit bondi beach...think its a must!! so much to do but got to squeeze it in before monday - when we fly to fiji for a summer holiday! cheeky eh! ; ) so just seeing how the rest of the week goes...will keep the updates coming though and hope all is fab where you are...much love always...georgie x x x
