Motor bikes, full moons and lighting storms!!

We started out time on koh phangnan after an interesting flight involving absolut vodka and an umm... Interesting looking breakfast on the plane!! Amaresa resort, was our first port of call, where our room had the luxury of a hammock and a gorgeous view but the toilet was one of those that you have to pour water down to flush from a bucket! All good training for future travels but as we are still novice tracellers we did not appreciate it just yet! much to our dismay it also involved a 20 minute trek (I'm not even exaggerating, it felt like d of e each time we came back from town only we were in like three times the heat!!) so anyway, we started out there, burnt loads of calories and then decided we wanted to move into the town itself, so a motorcycle ride later with back packs in tow ( mum look away!!) where I genuinely thought I was either going to die or be mugged by the person whose back I was clinging to and probably breaking his ribs in the process, we are now in friendly bungalows, air con and flushing toilet included!!
As in tradtion when you come here we have been to the pool party at coral bungalows where the pool looked more like the home of ghonorrea, maybe some aids and a few lost condoms!! Needless to say, we didnt venture in but had fun judging those who did and had a good night! One the 17th night we went to the pre full moon party on the beach where we found lots of Canadians who frankly just sound American but for some reason get really insulted when you think thy are American!! Our new found friends included lonely boy 1 and 2 and an american with a playboy glow in the dark picture painted on his chest and a ponytail, unsuprisingly no we don't know/ remeber any of their names!!
Last night was the full moon party but it was so cloudy you couldn't actaully see the moon for most of the night. There was however a lightining storm which lit up the whole bay. As promised the full moon lived up to our expectations with glow paint, buckets, and lots of street food that georgie probably should not have eaten but did!! Sadly free shots were not flowing freely as per the night before but it was a very good night any way!
