Today big Buddhist day!!

No we are not permantely living in a airport although from our blog entries it may seem that way although having come from our " guesthouse" the seats here may seem like luxury to most as we have aircon!!! You really do get what you pay for, our room, costing around 3 pounds per night each had a fan to stop us from over heating, a bathroom which had a toilet and a shower which was situated over the toilet meaning that you soaked the entire floor and a door that fell off the hinges ever time you moved it! Our friends the cockeroachs fortunately remained down stairs and did not make it up to our room, well, not that we saw anyway!!
Needless to say it is seriously hot and humid here but we are embrassing the traveller look. For every litre of water yu drink I'm convinced you sweat out 2! Our short but sweet visit to Bangkok and the joys of khao San was filled woth epic batering (thank you anika for teaching georgie, you would be proud of her skills!) and an awesome Thai lady who called tanita a giant and then came to our sight seeing rescue by announcing "today you are luckieeey, it is big buddhist day" mulptiple times with then resutled in a two hour tuk tuk costing 20bhat and free temple entry all day so georgie got her cultural fill and some photos of the big standing Buddha which was "even taller than tanita".
But now we are heading to the islands to escape the heat and dirt of Bangkok!!
