George and Eva
Woke early in the morning and rushed to be one of the first vehicles in the queue to get on the boat. Managed that, but ended up waiting about two hours to get on the boat. Really shouldn't have bothered.
The trip was uneventful, apart from a trivia quiz, which we lost spectacularly. We also noticed that even half way across Bass Strait, you could still see and smell the smoke.
Although we were one of the first cars out the other side, we had to wait ages until they brought our gas bottles out. They were much more efficient on the outward trip.
As we returned home and turned into our court, we were serenaded by the neighbours' kids, cheering the return of the van. It's good to be home.
