It was great to catch up with Greg and Lorraine who have been settled in this little paradise for 15 years. Fang was a great tour guide. It was interesting to see and learn about the oysters even though we don't eat them. We also said hi and goodbye to Thelma and Brian too.

What a lovely relaxing family holiday spot. We sat down the waterfront to enjoy the breezes. Pelicans and seagulls were entertaining to watch. Thelma and Brian took us for a drive around the area on the second day while our car had some work done. The town had quite a few shops to browse through and was very tidy and friendly.

Day two crossing the Nullarbor was a bit hotter so we were glad to get closer to the ocean for a dip. The next day was so hot the van air con and fridge couldn't cope with the 48 temp so we had happy hour and dinner in the pub. It was still 35 when we ventured out at 8:30. Smokey Bay had lots of sea grasses along the shore line and it was pretty shallow even at high tide.
