Unexpectedly, I'm still writing to you from Christchurch! We've had a wee mix up with flights and it turns out ours was postponed until tomorrow afternoon, meaning we only have two nights in Singapore and that we slept on the floor of the airport last night for nothing! b*****.

So we checked into a hotel on the airport complex at about 7am, slept until 2pm and then having been killing time all day (Jim found Premiership highlights on Sky and I went for a swim). We just wish we were in Singapore now! It's going to be a struggle to do any actual sightseeing there now which is a real shame.

The realisation that we're home in three more (proper) sleeps is hitting home now! I don't want the trip to be over but I'm really looking forward to a bit of normality and self-sufficiency, instead of relying on (and paying!) strangers to feed us and house us.

The plus side of this whole mix up is that we only have to wait for an hour in Sydney tomorrow. But then it does mean it's essentially eleven straight hours on a plane...
