I think we're gradually getting used to Australia! We left Magnetic Island this morning, getting the ferry to Townsville, before getting on the Greyhound for five hours down to Airlie Beach. Not a lot to report really, I finished my book on the way (Norwegian Wood by Haruki Murakami if you're at all interested, which is doubtful) and Jim listened to my ipod as his has packed up - gutted!
As we travel further down the East Coast we like it here more and more. It just seems a lot less tacky than northern Queensland and Airlie Beach is really beautiful. We've come here to do our trip sailing around the Whitsunday Islands and I'm really looking forward to it (don't worry we've bought sea sickness tablets in preparation). From 1pm tomorrow we will be at sea and hopefully snorkelling in the Great Barrier Reef! We'll not be back on dry land until Thursday so I'll report back then.
Love you all lots x x x
P.S. Quote of the day (which is rapidly becoming conversation of the day)
Me: "Do you think we'll be docking at any point on this sailing trip?"
Jim: "As long as there's no on board docking I don't care"
