Hi guys we have been here for a few days so i thought i would write about what we have done so far. i am actully really annoyed at the min because i have tried to upload my photos and it takes AGES and when it had finished it said all your photos were unsuccesful so they havent downloaded aaaaaarrrrrhhhhh. i will try again soon but i am far too vexed to try again now. well we got to accom which was actually really nice we paid hardly anything when we booked it back home but 2000baht to pay here if we wanted to stay longer so after tham few days we packed up and moved to another one which is basic but clean and and only 400 baht so a bargain really. we nearlly stayed in a proper dive it was filthy and the toilet didnt have a flush just a bucket with water in and a jug so when you ahve done your business you have to start getting jugs of water and pouring it down the loo. We have aircon here as well so the price is really good 100 baht is about 1.50 quid we can get a meal for 35 baht off the stalls on the street and some of it is actually really nice but some waaaaaaaaaay too spicy woody has been a little poorly today so lets say it is a good job we didnt stay in the hotel with the bucket lol. To be completely honest the jet lag has messed us both up we cant get the sleeping pattern right at all we are kind of still in uk time when it comes to sleep which isnt good because we are missing hale the day and being awake most of the night. We have met some really nice people while we have been here from all over the world a girl from switzerland few americans a canadian guy to guys from london a girl from brighton cant remember the rest but everyone is really nice and everyone wants the same to be able to talk to people from different parts of the world. When you walk up the khosan road (my spelling is bad i know) you are constantly asked for money or to buy these rubbish frog things i am sick to the back teeth of saying no thank you but we are sort of getting used to it now even if it is still annoying. oh yeah and other day one of the first days we were here this guy was saying TUK TUK?? PING PONG?? well to be fair i find it a boring game so was like no thanks dont like it then woody explained it wasnt a game of ping pong think of benidorm ha-ha, we went to a travellers bar other night and got a meal and i was proper suited they had HEINZ tomato ketchup how cool is that. One of the places we went for a meal i got like this noodle dish and they gave me a spoon and some chop sticks to eat it with i thought what do you expect me to do with them play the drums on the table or something where is my knife and fork? BUT that a side i thought id give it a go and i was actually good with the sticks it isnt that hard when you spend an hour or so eating you dinner lol. We got a tuk tuk yesterday and went round some of the sites like to see the temples and buddas and they are really cool but when you have seen one you have seen them all really i have some photos of them so when i next get chance i will up load them for you all to have a look. It is so hard to book a train ticket here as well because we want to go down south on monday to krabi but when you go into the travel and tourism shops they just try talk you into booking accomodation and planning your trip and wont just let you book a train ticket it is so frustrating but we have found out you can just buy them at the train station so we are going to get a tuk tuk to take us to the train station and then just buy one then. I am glad i came to bangkok because it is an experience but i am ready to move on now i am not into the big cities i cant wait to get to the beaches though it is meant to be beautilful down there. We have both been quite poorly since we got here think it is because we are not used to the time difference the food is different and the heat is horrible i havent seen the sun once yet but it is red hot you have to look at sweat as being part of thailand lol my hair is a proper frizz mess at the minute lol never mind. we are going to go to this zoo thing over the next few days before we leave and a snake farm and go for a ride on the river and see some of the other sites and this massive market chatachuk i think it is called then we head to the beaches YAY. the next destination is as follows over night train down to sumit thani bus to krabi from krabi we go to ko phi phi then phuket then back up to ko samui then ko phangnan for the full moon party and then i am going to learn how to dive in koe toe so then i will be able to dive anywhere in the world providing i pass that is. Think that is about it for now i am going to go to bed now early start tomorrow it is 10:15pm now here. so untill next time ta ra ill get the photos on soon i promise.
love Gem xxxxxxxx
