Another picture of a moose as shockingly they do not have any pictures of Yosemite National Park!

We took a night bus from Portland to Sacramento & then took a bus to a small town that was supposed to be near to Yosemite to catch a shuttle bus there. When we got to the town, it turned out we werent that close to Yosemite & we had missed the morning shuttle & the next bus came late inthe afternoon & did not go all the way into the park. In the end we had to hire a car to get there, it was about a 2 hour drive! We had out bus tickets already booked for Sacramento for the next evening so we had no choice but to go that day. Charlie coped well with his first drive on the wrong side of the road, however we did hit a parked car but managed to get the mark off with a rubber & a bit of tissue & saliva! We stayed in a tent as Yosemite & it was a really beautiful place with lots of cheeky squirrels & hundreds of birds & even bears (although we didn't see any of those!). There are sheer drop cliffs that nutters climb up & it takes more than a day so they sleep in a hammock on the side of a cliff! Crazy! Apparently not long ago there was a freak snow storm & some Japanese climbers died from exposure up there in the night. That was enough to put me off, although I wouldn't have coped well with the height either! There are some beautiful waterfalls in the park too.
