The journey to Sandakan in eastern Borneo proved that Malaysia is full of nature as there is nothing but jungle and palm trees for 6 hours! Hey all, I arrived in KK feeling pretty exhausted after a 10 hour journey involving 2 boats and 30 british soldiers, to be met by monsoon rain like I've never seen before! The place was basically flooded and after a 10m dash to shelter I was drenched! We left Koh Tao on the overnight ferry glad to have a bed for the night, but we soon realised that the boat didn't have beds, more of one communal mattress with a small slice not big enough for my shoulders dedicated to each passenger.
