Two fantastic days. Today we caught a train, cable car, furnicular, then walked for two hours on Montserrat ( 'serated mountain!)an amazingly steep and strange rock formation with a 1000 yr old monestary near the top. It was breathtakingly beautiful and the cable car ride a little scary for Some! It was cold but sunny so got views over The surrounding land for miles and could see the Mediterranean Sea!
Yesterday we caught the On-Off bus around the sights of this elegant city. We saw so much and then the Xmas lights came on at 6pm and we had to agree that even though we loved the quality of the Ashmont lights, these were just a tad more spectacular!!!!
Sooooo many groovy looking Spaniards out shopping in the evenings , it is a great time of the year to be here.
Tmrw our last day before heading to the cousins, unless we are held up by a pilots strike that Graeme just informed me about - thought we were safe by not flying Qantas. Have to ring Spanair tmrw?
