Our last day in Manchester has been another lovely one. Rebecca, me, the kids plus friends Kate and Pam and their kids met at The Meadows and went for a walk through the open fields and woodlands. There was frost all over the ground and many frozen puddles for the kids to test the ice and get wet on. They loved it. We all had hot chocolates at a little cafe before heading home. This afternoon we finally got the chance to see Simone and John ( Rebecca's parents) ...

On Thursday we caught the tram to the new BBC mega centre. This is where Jason works from. This was an old part of town by the canals which has been restored - think of Darling Harbour. We also went to the war museum which was a great place to spend a few hours. That night we went out to a local curry house with the Thorpe family and colleges Jacqui used to work with.
