Log Sunday 31st July
Finally we have found our paradise. We are situated on the top of a cliff looking down on the beach where there are still hundreds of people. It's 8pm and we are both in heaven, Paul because he has had a few surfs in the last few days and me cause the sun is out, the seawater is not too cold and there is a fresh water shower nearby. Ahh the simple things.
Over the last few days we have been to Bilbao and the unbelievable Guggenheim museum. Also a day in beautiful Biarritz. Both cities are a must see. We always stay at the next small town and catch a bus or train into the big cities. We had our first jug of Sangria in a mountain top bar overlooking the city - magical.
Spent one night parked in the middle of a busy intersection in Zarautz but had the best meal overlooking the lovely beach, bay and port.
Also met two Aussies, Luke and Maria from Melbourne, who have been traveling for ages. Soo good to speak to someone who understands us! Also found a bar with a kangaroo sign and found out the owners are a Spaniard who worked in Perth and then found his lovely wife in Sydney before taking her back to his homeland.
Off to the mountains tomorrow for a trek in Cota de Europa.
