Well, it had to happen sooner or later.  Being England, it’s usually sooner.  That is, the temperature plummeted to a daytime maximum of 16c with leaden sky and light showers.  Of all times to happen however.  This trip had been built around these four days in Herefordshire and taking the “Black and White Village Trail.  Thirteen villages in a wedge shape corner of Herefordshire with hundreds of timber framed houses, shops and pubs.  The old oak timbers...

We spent all afternoon strolling around the village photographing everything from every direction. Perhaps being built around the river and the bridge adds to the atmosphere. Whatever, after now having visited all the villages in the day after we were here at Eardisland, we vote it the village that we love the most. I used up all my energy in photographing. I should also admit that most of the photographs we have taken have been on my new Samsung S23 Ultra phone....
