Woke up this morning around 6.30 after a great nights sleep and feeling much better. Soon after we had Lucinda at the door and gabino telling us it's time to go and help with breakfast. We had to help with the dough and make it into thin bits of bread to be fried. We did this and hung them on the edge of the bowl and they all stuck together so we had to start again. After about an hour they were finally all finished and fried so it was time to eat. We had a plate of fried bread plus a boiled egg each. I only ate the bread which was amazingly good.
After this we went to help with some chores. We helped heard the sheep into thee yard and tied them up and the helped clear rocks form the pig pen area. After this they told us to go for a walk so we went for a short walk around and then went to talk to some other people while waiting for lunch time.
For lunch it started with quinoa soup and vegetables followed by a plate of three potatoes and a slice of fried cheese. The soup was great but the potatoes weren't that good, I ate one and some cheese which tasted like rubber. After this we walked back down the hill to the dock and said thank-you and goodbye to our host family.
We then got back on the boat which took around 2 hours to get back to Puno. Back in Puno I had a nice warm shower which was amazing before I made Tom head out to a local cafe for a coffee. I had a coffee and some chocolate cake. I also bought a rainbow jumper - so warm. We then went to the local market to buy some snacks for the 8 hour bus trip the next day. We also detoured via the casino which had pokies and a roulette table. Tom played and won 150 Peru peso.
After this we had a pisco sour at the hotel and then went out for dinner. I had another pisco sour and some stir fried vegetables and some Greek salad. We also had a local band play some music which was great. After all of this I was ready for a good nights sleep before 8 hours in a bus to cusko.
