A second 3.30am wake up call, this time it was for a day hike up rainbow mountain. Only one person from the tour group wanted to come so we joined in with the other tour. We waited from 4am at the lobby for out minibus to arrive. We then were on the bumpy bus for 2.5 hours before reaching a spot for breakfast. Here we were given a pancake, some coffee and tea. After this we drove another hour through the mountains, having to stop a few times to let other cars pass. We drove past some kids wlaking to school, upto 12kms to walk.

We finally arrived at the bottom of rainbow mountain and took some photos before heading for the track. The track started at 4800m and was 5.5km uphill to 5100m. The views from the top were amazing. I was exhausted wlaking up but managed to not jump on a horse and walk the whole way up in around an hour. Once up the top the views were incredible, rainbow mountains out on side, glaciers the others. Up the top there were llamas to take photos with and places to buy beer. While waiting for the group, we grabbed a beer, had a seat and enjoyed the view. The way down was a nice stroll back to the bus. We then stopped back off for lunch which was a buffet of vegetables and some meat.

We arrived back in Cusco around 4.30 and i once again enjoyd having a shower. After this we caught up with the group to head to a chicken restaurant, crappy chicken though :( After this a few of us went to have one drink. After buy one cocktail get one free happy hour until 11 and multiple dirnks ater we hit the dancefloor. I arrived home aorun 2.30... opps! Such a long but fun day!
