Another early enough start this time to head to the sacred valley. On the way we stopped off at the women's weaving co-op. Here the women learn how to weave from a young age. We learnt about how they wash the fur and dye it to get the different colours. All the things thy made were amazing and how they use the different plants for dye is cool.
After this we headed for some more ruins. It was very cold and we headed up the large hill to check out the ruins. After this we hopped back on the bus before heading to lunch.
Lunch was at a little nursery where we sampled a buffet of local foods with the main dish being the fried quinoa stir fry. This was one of the best lunches of the trip!
After this we arrived in Ollytytambo and quickly had a rest before checking out the ruins here, again up a big hill. It was pretty cool to see.
After this we were resting at the hotel and my phone decided to go dead, most likely altitude related. Soon after this we had a power outage in the block in the hotel so we all grabbed our head torches and went for dinner early. When we got back the power was on. Time for a sleep before the 4 day inca trail hike.
