Another 530am wake up, again with cocoa tea so I can't complain. Last night was another night spent coughing and with the tissues beside me. Today I felt a little fatigued but I dragged mysef out of the tent and got ready for the day. For breakfast today we got pancakes with caramel sauce and names of animals on them, so amazing. Nick once again reminded us of anotehr small pass before heading downhill and on some "Inca" flat.

After breakfast we started out, going up and I started coughing again. About 30mins of up and we were at an Inca site, again having to wait for the rest of the group to catch up. We were standing in the Inca post office or message centre. Some thought it was a home for animals however msot llama would't fit through the door. After this was more steps and uphill with a small lake on the side. I walked up the top with another member of the group which it made it easier.

Once up the top we were told of some downhill and an Inca palace up 100 steps halfway down. The steps to the palace were steep but up I went. The palace was cool but there were clouds everywhere ruining what would have been an amazing view. After this we stopped for lunch and the cooks baked us a cake, how the hell do you bake a cake hiking? Anyway the cake was amazing and followed a buffet lunch.

After lunch, a few more hours of hiking Inca flat and downhill before reaching Inca terraces. We took some photos with the whole group before wlaking down to the camp. Here we had dinner, played some cards and said goodbye to our cooks and porters. Tomrorow is a 330 am start and we are off to see Machu Picchu - finally :)
