Arriving to La Paz at 3.00am after no sleep wasn't the best thing. Going through immigration and customs was easy enough and finding an ATM was okay. Then came the nerve racking part - getting a taxi. We asked an airline worker who said to get one of the radio taxis with airport on it. So we jumped in and started driving down dark streets, rails on windows and speed humps everywhere. I thought we were going to get mugged or kidnapped. After 5 minutes we could see...

A day of flying! A normal wake up call and a transfer to the airport in rio. Delayed an hour and had to wait on the Tarmac for 30mins before flying 4.5 hours to Santiago, Chile. Here we had a stop for an hour before boarding the big plane to Lima, Peru. At Lima we had 1.5 hours before our flight to La Paz, Bolivia. We finally got to La Paz at 3.30 woohoo!

Waking up to another Beautiful Rio day! Today we got up early and had breakfast before heading out on a boat tour on gunabarra bay. The boat tour gave us views of rio and the northern city connected by a 14km long bridge. We saw a different view of sugar loaf mountain and Christ the redeemer. Waking up hungover in rio! I dragged myself downstairs to eat some breakfast- scrambled eggs on toast with some cheese. Waking up to another beautiful 27 degree day in Rio. After waking up early and having breakfast we got on the metro to meet the walking tour. After actually finding it this time we did a 3 hour tour through downtown and Lapa, mostly learning about the Portuguese links and the various kings.
