Waking up to another beautiful 27 degree day in Rio. After waking up early and having breakfast we got on the metro to meet the walking tour. After actually finding it this time we did a 3 hour tour through downtown and Lapa, mostly learning about the Portuguese links and the various kings.

At the end of the tour we were at the seleron steps, an artist decided to put tiles on all the steps. Sadly his body was one day found burnt out on the steps.

After this we had a nap before heading out to Lapa for the night on a pub crawl. We had some caipirinhas at a bar and then from a tent in the square before heading to two clubs, one where you could follow the dancers and learn the samba and the other was very noisy and not very good. Overall a good night drinking and making some new friends.
