Day 2 in La Paz, I woke up feeling s*** this morning with a headache ?altitude sickness ?dehydration. Maybe I should mention the hotel room has no window so it gets really stuffy overnight.
Today we went and had breakfast, not much of a spread compared to everywhere else, only toast and some banana.
After this we got the hotel to help organise a taxi to moon valley. Moon valley is 30mins out of La Paz and is a collection of craters and strange shapes in the rocks. We walked around the top 45 min trail... it was okay but really it was just a bunch of rocks.
After this we had the taxi driver drive to the strongest stadium on the search for an official football top for Nelz. At the stadium there was no place to buy the top. Out taxi driver then drove us to the shopping centre where there was a stand however this was closed.
We then went back to the hotel and they told us the shopping centre in the city has a store (why didn't they mention that before?). So off we headed, we found the store but again closed. We had also stopped at the steakhouse for lunch. This was my worst meal so far, I had a chicken burger which had dry bread and minced chicken breast - disgusting! And I should mention overpriced for Bolivia.
Once back the hotel they told us the shop didn't open til 3, so time for a quick rest before heading back out to get the top. This time the shop was open so I was able to get the top for Nelz and I got the away kit.
We then detoured via the market so I could get a smoothie and an avocado sandwich again. So much better than lunch.
We then hung out at the hotel for a bit before heading to another hotel to wait to be picked up for cholitas wrestling. We jumped in the bus and drove up to el alto city. Once there we went into a big shed with a ring in the middle. We watched a few different fights involving men and women and even the referees. We then got to take a photo with the cholitas before heading back down in La Paz.
Time to sleep in the stuffy room again :( but tomorrow is para gliding :)
