We only stayed in wanaka for 1 night as we really wanted to get to queenstown and spend as much time as poss there so after arriving about 4, we got ready and headed to the red rock bar for a good knees up and an mtv after party. was really great fun and didnt end up climbing into my top bunk til 4am! left pretty early and headed to a very surreal place called puzzle world??!! think it was LJ's (our drivers) idea of a cruel joke! very weird for all of us with hug...

i did the most amazing thing today... a heli hike. i got a helicopter to the top half of the franz josef glacier and then hiked for 2 hours through caves and carvesses... it was the most amazing experience. and for those who know me and know i dont do heights or roller coasters, it was a bit scary especially when they turn really quickly and you feel like your heads gona explode but it was definitely the most fabulous experience and i'd recommend it to anyone!!!!...

Lake Mahinapua is pretty quiet apart from when the kiwi bus shos up. we stayed in a really basic hostel which used to be a farm. its owned by the oldest publican in new zealand. hes called les, is 82 and looks like santa! but grumpier! we have whats known as the 'poo party' where we get 1hr in greymouth (a town about 20mins away) to get an outfit for the fancy dress party that night. a great way of meeting the peeps on the bus. laura and i went as blair and bus...

Westport is a dead town.... stayed here one night. you'd be bored out of your mind if you stayed here any longer. the pretty view photos all came on route to westport. theres nothing else in westport to take photos of! haha x

This place was so amazing. Had to get a bus for over an hour to get to the entrace of the park, then got a water taxi up to tonga bay (our start point). walked for about 7 hours the first day... well, i say walked... more like hiked!! i was knackered! we stayed in a bay called anchorage (no elec and you have to boil your water before drinking it). had our noodles (oh classy) on the beach before making our little fire and chilling out until 8pm (bedtime!!) haha. t...
