We have arrived in Sydney!! We are so excited to be here! Especially as my sister is now living here. She can show us around and be our free tour guide.
Since the last blog entry we have been chilling in byron bay! Its such a cool, chilled out sufers paradise. We extended our stay by 2 nights as we loved it so much. It was great to have some time off from doing activities and just relax. We cycled up to the lighthouse, which is at the most easterly point of australia...all up hill...you can imagine how I found that bike ride while Paul and his mate whizzed off! very hot and red! The view was great though and well worth it. Coming back down on the bike was terrifying...! :) Most nights we went out with our mates and even dedicated one to xmas by wearing santa hats. (It really does not feel like xmas out here) How it is christmas eve, we are going to do a bit of shopping in an attempt to wrap up presents and make it feel like it should do. Everyone travelling is thinking of home right now, all the good food we wld be having... :)
Next we went on to surf camp where a massive goup of us had a surf lesson. Me and Paul got put in to different groups so we dont really believe how good each of us say we were. To be honnest, I found it hard. The waves were so massive, you took 20 mins to get out to catch a wave, got one, fell off with in 3 seconds then another 20 mins to get back through the waves. It was so funny watching everyone drowning. Quite scary too. But Paul still remains to say that he was awesome at surfing...!
Then it was an all day drive down to Sydney. Our first stop in a city for weeks. we have got too used to the beach life style. Its only day one here but got so much to look forward to. A bbq with thousands of other travellers on bondi beach tmrw...cant wait!
Lots of love xxx
