Test Run
Thursday 4th August was the most delightful day - sunny & as warm as it ever is in an Irish summer - perfect for the wedding of our "second daughter" Victoria or Torz as she is known to us. We were SO grateful to be invited across the world to this special occasion as Torz & Sarah have been best friends since year 7 at school & they are true soul mates. The ceremony was in The Holy Rosary church in Midleton & Sarah was bridesmaid along with Jane, dressed beautifully in lilac & looking perfect. Paul & his attendants wore tails & we're very dapper! The service was fun with live music & singing, lots of laughter & happiness as well as all the required formalities. The reception was held at Barnabrow House country estate where we were staying & began with Prosecco on the deck in the afternoon sun followed by the most delicious 4 course dinner with some ingredients freshly picked from their own garden - superb! We all had a great night but left the young people (& some not so young) to the dancing, singing & music making when the jet lag caught up with us & we managed to sleep despite the live band & Paul's favourite music quite loud near our room. Many merry-makers actually made it to breakfast next morning despite their very few hours sleep! It was a wonderful wedding - we loved every minute of it - thanks so much to all concerned but especially Torz & Paul. Hope we'll see you in Australia again soon.........
