Well Folks, we are pretty much at the end of our stay in India and as a result of being a bit worn out, a bit unwell and a bit out of money we have decided to not make the 4 to 5 hour round trip south to Mamallpuram or Pondicherry. As soon as we get home we'll probably regret this decision but, hey, we've covered a lot of ground over the last 6 weeks so we'll have to live with it.
Sticking close to our hotel and its surrounds means that there is not much likelihood of any further photos. You never know though - it's a strange place.
We'll check back in before we head home - one thing Desley wants to do is take photos of our typical breakfast and dinner fare.
Breakfast consists of a "Mini Tiffin" which includes:-
Rava Kesari, Pongal, 5 x Ghee Idly Sambar, mini Marsala Dosai and mini Vadai - plus a tea or coffee.
Dinner is often:-
Chappathy, Veg Kuruma, Variety Rice, Sambar Rice, Curd Rice, Chips (Pappadum), Pickle and tea.
All very nice and, in keeping with many food places here in Tamil Nadu, our favourite restaurant is a "Pure Veg" type, meaning no meat or eggs.
I usually feel better for eating vegetarian but both of us are dreaming of bacon and eggs when we get home. Oh, and vegemite on toast too.
Cheers,
