So our last proper day of the holiday and it began in the usual way with breakfast. Although this morning I found one of the most yummy inventions ever - a Swiss mocha - hot chocolate with a shot of coffee which makes the scrummiest drink!! So today we headed out after a little lay in to see the biggest church in Iceland. The Hallsgrimskirkja. And although it was closed you could still look inside. It was very stark and minimalistic a complete contrast to the churches of Italy we visited last summer. From here we headed down to the Trojnin (that pond) and the first park of Iceland. So day 2 in Iceland began with another early start in preparation for our trip to the Golden Circle. We set off just after breakfast (which was a little random as I ended up with lemon tea and a dodgy danish but the rest of it was yummy!) and headed straight to the geysers.
