Purple Kale, trout, curried almonds, prunes and a lime dressing with shredded fried sweet potato.

I was really impressed with how inventive the chef was being. It's a very conservative little lodge right in the middle of the forest and they are producing these really interesting dishes.

I asked for the dressing on the side and when it didn't arrive I just assumed they had mixed it in. But as the salad was so dry I think it was simply forgotten. I should have asked for it but I had already ploughed my way through so much of it I decided not to bother.

Purple kake is hard work to eat so as a salad leaf I think it needs to be mixed with other vegetables.
I felt like I was eating something healthy and righteous rather than eating a dish I really enjoyed. As a result I didn't feel satisfied so bought some crisps after dinner. So funny how my mind works! Not very logical.
