Today ids the day martin arrives. We decided to get up and go to Piazza de Popoli. We were not disappointed, it has a huge granite obelisk in the centre of the square and two cuppolas- or church roofs either side. Stunning. Walked to the Vatican up a street with more dog poop than pavers! Got to the top of the road and in front of us was the VAtican museums- great we thought the line doesnt look tooo bad- think again.
