World - Bring it on!
After a great time in Sydney I flew to Melbourne to meet back up with Lauren. We were staying in Base Backpackers in the St Kilda area. I really liked Melbourne. I think the reason I was most excited about Melbourne was because we got to do all the Neighbours stuff! On the night we arrived we went to the Neighbours Trivia night in a nearby pub. I was very excited about this! We got to meet Dr Karl, Michelle Scully and a couple of other new members to the cast. They were all really friendly and came round to speak to us all and have their pictures taken. There was also a quiz and various competitions which took place. We also did the Neighbours tour which took us to Ramsay Street. The street seems a lot smaller in real llife and people actually live in the houses. We got to meet Libby too. She was nice. We got taken to Erinsborough High and saw the front of Grease Monkeys and the Garage. We spent the rest of our time in Melbourne taking various trams around the city seeing the sights. One day we went up the Eureka Tower. It is the highest buiding in Melbourne and from the top you can see all accross Melbourne. The views were amazing and we towered above all the other buildings. It also has a platform goes out at the side with a glass bottom but they charge a lot off money to go on it. We took a walk a long the pier in St Kilda one day in the hope of seeing penguins. We saw none. Our hostel was good fun. It had various things going on in the evenings, including ladies night on the Thursday. Two whole hours of free champagne for the girls. Cant complain about that! I enjoyed my time in Melbourne despite the cold. The city has a nice modern feel to it. From Melbourne we left Australia for New Zealand. I had definitely enjoyed my time in Australia but I did feel it was time to move on to to somewhere different. It was time to brave the cold!
