From Langkawi myself, Lauren, Adam and Hugo got a ferry across to Satun. It was a relatively quick journey, only about an hour or so. It took us into Thailand. After going through immigration we got ourselves tickets for a bus up to Krabi.
We arrived in Krabi and manged to get ourselves a room in a nice guesthouse. We went out for a wee look to see what Krabi had to offer. Apparently not very much. We were in the town area and there really wasn't much to see. However, there was a nice night market and it was good to see all the different foods on offer. Some of the stalls had amazing banana roti, mmm. It was so good.
The next day me and Lauren took a wonder around up to where the boats are and around and about. We had hoped to do some kayaking but unfortunately the weather was not too great so thought best to leave that for another time. There really was not too much to see or do in Krabi. I forgot to mention the fact that my camera broke while in Langkawi, grr. Anyway we thought while we had the time to spare we would take a look to see if I could get a new one. With Adam's expert opinion we set off to find one. Apparently all the cameras in Krabi are even more expensive than in the UK so it was not to be.
That night as we were out visiting the night market Lauren's unlucky streak struck again. She turned round and bumped into the exhaust of a motorbike and badly burned her leg! She was not even riding the damn thing. Some emergency ice was purchased from the nearby Seven Eleven and then it was off to Boots for some emergency bandages and creams.
Anyway I'm afraid thats about as exciting as our visit to Krabi gets. I promise the next chapter is more exciting.....we learn to dive!
