We had 2 days in Oaxaca. It was definitely worth seeing as it was very pretty, lots of lovely little cobbled streets with different coloured buildings. It was a nice little city in amidst forested mountains. We had hoped to do a cooking class there but they did not do the class on the day we were there. Instead we visited a market where there was lots of nice jewellery. We dined at the zocalo which was always bustling with activity. There were lots of nice little restaurants and cafes there. We visited yet another cathedral. We saw a few churches and visited the gardens. We basically visited all the sites that are free!
On our last day we went to the food market. It was very smelly! There was lots of fish and chicken. You could also buy some insects to eat if you so wished. We didnt. However they did have lots of arts and crafts on offer which were very nice. We had lunch that day in a chocolate restaurant. We read how Oaxacan chocolate is a delicacy so thought it rude not to try it. I had mine on some crepes. It was delicious.
