Haven't updated in a bit, the past two weeks have been quite a trip. Last week was quite odd. I only had a four day week. Apparently there was a catholic holiday on wed last week. The odd thing was that only Herzo area celebrated it. So Erlangen and Nurnberg were open as usual but everything else was closed. I was invited by Tobias (A trainee in Marketing) to join him and another trainee to a popular lake in the area. If you look at a map you see that Herzo is the farthest place in Europe from the ocean. We went to the lake and enjoyed a refreshing swim. The rest of the week was quick.
This past week was quite busy but with mundane work sadly. I was really hoping to play some sports on Monday and Wednesday but unfortunately they were canceled to big sales meetings held at sports areas. Big bummer! On a better note, I am now holding the keys to my new apartment! Its an awesome place but I cant move in yet sadly. As it turns out my sea shipment won't arrive into port until august 31st. If I am lucky and there are no problems with customs then I will have my stuff delivered on September 3rd. In the mean time Adidas has approved my request to stay here in the hotel till the 31st. I can move everything there by myself in trips to nurnberg. There are some financial issues I need to sort out with the apt but other than that the place is MINE!!
On the exciting news part, Elyssa is coming to Europe with her parents on a little tour. She is a good friend I have known since freshman year. I am going to catch a train on Friday and be their tour guide around Italy. I'm very excited to see friends form back home. PLUS ITALIAN PASTA & WINE! How could I pass that up! Only down side is that the train is about 12 hours. My manager has approved a vacation day to go down and see them. He says to try a gelato restaurant in Pisa, so I'm going to try to go there.
That's it's for right now. Not too exciting I know but it's a true adventure for me. If you have time, write me and let me know how things are back home. Miss you all.
