Well it has been a week and then some!
This past week was a bit stressful due to some major issues with trying to survive on little less than 12 euros (bout 20 US) for a week but I made it. Really don't want to do that again! Problems came from my banks back here changing me really high rates to transfer my money to banks over here. I have to endure a transfer plus exchange rate plus percentage of money deducted for using their bank (ON BOTH ENDS) thus my money is only a fraction of what it used to be. But after it was all said and done, I have enough to live on the rest of this month before my paycheck comes in. THANK YOU MOM AND DAD! LOVE YOU!
So my paycheck is hurting also. Taxes here take a little more than 30 percent of my total per month. It hurts especially with my new expenses of 3 months rent deposit, plus the first and other miscellaneous things. Thus giving me less than 100 to live on till the next paycheck.... It's going to be rough. Ok ok that's enough of my stress now some good news
New Job rocks! I have a great mentor/boss who turns out to be a VP on Global tennis. Only drawl back, impossible to schedule time with. So need to get my racket out and try to pick up on my game. Might be the only time to speak with him. Met some new friends and one who has fed me and kept me from being in true poverty, Nghi ("Knee") from Vietnam. He's a developer that has been here for a while. He's shown me around, gave me some food, bought coffee in mornings, etc. A True friend when in need. Going to have to show him the secrets of the "Queso" since he doubts my cooking ability. I'm getting to know others too by playing sports after work. They have Ultimate and American football! Sounds odd to be excited, I know, but those who have been to Europe will understand.
This is just a quick update; I will do a much longer one next time. So beware. Take care all of you! Miss you guys.
