After being thrown from one bus to another in the middle of the freeway (the bus we were on was running 2 hours late so we didn't make the connection in Punta Arenas), we arrived at our hostel after midnight.
We had a full day in Puerto Natales which was great, as we needed to grab a few supplies before we headed to the Torres del Paine National Park to do the W Trek.
We spent the day looking for socks, waterproof gear, snacks and other bits and pieces. Unfortunately despite this being a haven for trekkers the outdoor shops only stock rubbish, but at least what we needed to buy was cheap!
The best part about stocking up was the scroggin shop! All this little lady sold was dried fruits and nuts of every variety imaginable, and at a reasonable price. It proved difficult not going completely overboard!
Once we had everything we needed, we spent the night repacking bags so we would only be taking the bare minimum with us, leaving the rest in our hostel for when we returned.
The next morning we were up early, and walked to the bus station in the dark and the rain to catch the 7.30 bus to the park ready for trekking!
