Ben & Zella's travels
have just arrived in osaka. travelled in on the shinkansen, which was a really good to experience except for the japanese toilets which are a hole in the floor- i think toilets like these on trains travelling at high speeds is just asking for trouble!
our last days in tokyo were great. we went into harajuko and did not see the crazily dressed girls as they dont come out on a week day - typical. found a great creperie instead though - cheers james and nic. went to a temple there which was built for the spirits for an emperor and an empress - really stunning. bought a charm for well being of body and mind, so watch this space!
on our last day we went into the city to the imperial palce and then up the tokyo tower which looks like the eiffel tower but a bit taller and bright red and white! saw as far as mt fiji which looked gorgeous, glistening with snow. we then went into ginza to experience some real japanese food.
hostel so far reminds me of a doctors waiting area. you also have to be out at 10 in the morning and then out of your dorm untill 4 in the afternoon - how rude. i just hope we are fully over the jetlag, as early starts are not a favourite of ours at the moment.
tomorrow we are off into osaka and to the osaka castle for a bit of a look around. which should be interesting. it all seems a bit quieter to tokyo so far, but im sure the centre is a different story.
hope everyone is well. have a great weekend.
lots of love zella x x
