We left Budapest at 10:45 this morning and were very grateful for a sleep-in. On the road to Gyor we saw lots of fields of golden sunflowers and the main industry outside the town was a large production plant for Audi. It was very hot in Gyor (about 37 degrees) so I was glad to walk under the spray-mist showers in the middle of the main pedestrian street. I walked to the main square and viewed the Basilica; I was also in search of 'langos' (the local speciality, a type of bread topped with cheese and garlic cream) but lucked out so had a chicken kebab and frozen lemon drink instead. All the others had Macas.
