FARFRUMWURKEN
Having arrived some twelve days ago in Murfreesboro, we've done quite a bit. I've been a little delinquent not keeping up my blog. To say we're in Murfreesboro is just a little incorrect. We're in a very, very, very small town called Bradyville. There's not really much in Bradyville other than one post office and that's about it. There's no traffic signal in town but there is a stop sign.
Keli & Joe are about 35 minutes southeast of Murfreesboro so much of the time has been spent running the roads and getting reacquainted with family. We made it in time for the twins 12th birthday (Kaelyn - the oldest by 1 minute and Lilli) they decided that this year's festivities would be at Planes, Trains & Automobiles - the local arcade and bowling alley in Murfreesboro.
Deborah decided that we should take up painting while we have some extra time here, so we've painted the shed and the shutters in a nice shade of red - two projects off their list whether they wanted it or not.
In between the kids work (Joe's a teacher at Siegel Elementary) and Keli's school schedule (working on a degree in Graphic Arts), we've talked a lot and likely driven even more going to the stores in Murfreesboro for all the necessities to sustain the life of seven people. Similar to last year there has been a bit of a lady bug blight in this neck of the woods. They seem to be strategically situated throughout the house that has taken just a little getting use to.
We've taken some nice walks down the local country roads and explored Keli & Joe's crick that runs through their eighty-five odd acres. The other night we had a good old fashion fire in the pit out back and roasted weenies and sausages by the open fire then closed it off with good and sticky S'mores.
We're here for another six days and then we head to Jean's in Knoxville. Due to space restrictions, Keli has been unable to place a couple of our antiques into her home, so we've decided to rent a truck, load them up and move them to Jean's so that she can enjoy them rather than being exposed to the elements. We'll only be in Knoxville until the morning of the 9th when we head out to Fort Lauderdale via Savannah, Bluffton and Jupiter before we board the Westerdam on the 11th for our 20-day cruise through the Panama Canal.
I've attached the start of my "black & white" photographs, so I'd like your feedback as to what you think.
