Our first full day in Cancun was a success. Beyond a brief stopover from a cruise I never realized that Cancun was so impressive. Everything on travel day went well from a transportation point-of-view. While it did start to snow just as we were ready to taxi to the runway so it required a little de-icing, but what's new in the great Vancouver area for 2017. It's been one hell of a year snow-wise, it's good to get out of Dodge for a nice R&R break. We were on a West Jet 737-800 for our 5 hour 35 minute fight direct into Cancun. Tomorrow is our Travel Day.  We're set to leave on a WestJet flight out of Vancouver with a 09:40 a.m. departure - so it's an early start - we'll be leaving the house about 5:30 a.m. to make YVR on time.  Our plan is to fly directly to Cancun (5.5 hour flight) and spend a few days there for some R&R.  We'll be hooking up with our friends in Cancun with Terry & Angie from Toronto.  They're scheduled to arrive a few hours ahead of us on ...

We've hooked up a month-long stay in Merida, Mexico for the full month of March. I've attached a few pics of Casa Forster/Holgate. Can't wait, we only have six more sleeps and we're outta here.

It certainly was a long day, but in reality, we made it home before we actually left. The power of the International Date Line I guess. After being away for 28 hours we were glad to be back in our own bed after 50-days of travel.
