Wednesday, 16th June An interesting bus ride to Potosi, the highest city in the world. We were on a local bus which wasn't the most comfortable but we had a cute little girl across from us who kept us entertained. Once in Potosi we found a taxi that took us to Sucre with 2 others for the same price as the bus and only took 2 hours instead of 4. Sunday, 13th June A very early cold start to the day. 10 of us were taken by minibus across the border and an hour on to the Bolivian entry border, our most remote crossing so far. We were divided into 2 groups Tom and I jumped at the chance to be with Frenchies, Claire, Louis and Samuel. Our first stop was the National Park and the Laguna Blanca and Verde both of which were stunning, Blanca mostly salt and Verde more green from copper so no wildlife on this one...

Wednesday, 9th June After a 4-5 hour wait by the road we were picked up by another bus and dropped at La Serena(1/3 of the way to San Pedro), where we were all given a refund and told to find our own way to San Pedro. We caught a bus an hour later to Calama which is 2 hours North of San Pedro so heading in the right direction. Tom found a hotel once we arrived at 7:30pm and both shattered so staying here tonight. Monday, 7th June Love the beds and duvets at the hostal, didn't want to get up. Found out about buses to the Atacama desert and went back to the pub from last night for a drink, then on to the markety area for something to eat. Wednesday, 2nd June Samuel Oliver Kuwertz was born today. Packed up, night bus to Rio met Roberta from Wimbledon. Had Cama seats which we could get used to, loads more leg room and super comfy.
